“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17), and He that finds a wife has found a good thing and obtain favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22).

Our story began with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and at Calvary, where we dedicated our lives to Him and waited on His promises, one of which is the gift of marriage.

Kayode

With an innate assurance of God’s promises, I sought the face of God and was led to the most adorable woman on the face of the planet (Sis Grace). It was like someone just woke me up from sleep. I then proposed without wasting time and praying she would say YES :). This leading was borne from personal prayers and prayers of my prayer circle, ‘Peniel’. I am so grateful to God for making my paths cross with Sister Grace, my now ‘Ife’ and ‘Gift’ from God. I could not quantify my joy when she finally gave me a “YES” to the loveliest question I have ever asked anyone: 'Will you marry me?' Since then, I must confess, she has captured my heart for the Lord :).

Grace

How can I describe the journey of faith without a reference to prayer? Prayer of perfection of God's will. Crossing Bro. Kayode's path was really divinely orchestrated. His proposal was a surprise and, at the same time, met with gladness in my heart. But, since ‘'she (he) that believeth shall not make haste (Isaiah 28:16)’', I committed the proposal to God in prayers and received multiple confirmations leading to a “Yes, I will marry you.” I am glad I waited for God in faith and believed in His Word for a performance concerning His promises for my life. Amen!

The Couple

We trust God to guide us through as we embark on this journey of faith, love, and grace; most importantly, as God is bringing us into Holy Matrimony, that our love radiates, even as Christ loves the Church.

How We Met

It started with praying for the will of God in marriage, and through divine guidance, we got to know each other through one of our mutual friends. We continued seeking the face of God individually, and we discovered more mutual interests :) while discussing professional opportunities. Glory be to God, for He promised to be with us and make our home Heaven on earth while we look forward to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb at the end. We want to thank our parents, pastors, and friends for their support and prayers.

Admonition

Waiting on God is profitable and beautiful. We jointly want to encourage everyone looking up to God to continue to pray, wait on God, and be intentional.
